I have been taking my vehicles to this mechanic for about a decade. They've proven themselves to be capable, honest, and fairly priced. At numerous points they could have charged me more for an anticipated service or repair, but they truthfully assessed the needs of my vehicles and kept the scope to only what was necessary for proper, safe function. If you need a trustworthy auto mechanic in the area, who pays their workers fairly and doesn't charge insane rates, Telegraph Auto Care is hard to beat.

Went in to get my AC looked at because it was acting strange. The AC would intermittently blow cold or hot air with no rhyme or reason as to why it would cut off. They told me I had to replace my entire AC system for $1,200. I decided I couldn’t afford that right now and that I wanted a second opinion because it has been blowing cold air on and off for almost 9 months. I wasn’t told ahead of time that to diagnose any AC issues would cost me $200. I later learned that it is industry standard, but I would have preferred a heads up. I did some research online. Apparently many Subarus in the 2010s have this issue with their AC and there is an easy fix, but even Subaru will tell you to replace the entire system. However, I found online that if you remove this tiny shim from the AC clutch your AC will work again. The problem is there is a magnetic clutch that as the system ages, the clutch plate moves too far away for the magnets to work. Removing the shim puts it close enough again to activate the magnet. I consider myself pretty handy, but this was one of the easiest things I’ve ever fixed in a car and took me 10 minutes to complete. I’m not saying they knew the fix was easy and ignor

This place completely missed major issues NEVER take your car here to get a pre purchase inspection Moses swore up and down that my car was in perfect condition with that information I took my vehicle to a dealership to have the transmission serviced where they found issues with a leak in the timing cover, ball joints leaking greese, sway bar links needing to be replaced and issues with the transmission. How can you call yourself a mechanic? Might need to take some more training bud if you’ve gotten any at all. Reply: Moses, let’s get the facts straight. I did not come to your shop after purchasing the vehicle. I brought it to you for a Pre Purchase Inspection. I only signed the paperwork and bought the car because I trusted your professional word that it was in “perfect condition” I have the full multi point video inspection from the dealership below showing the car on the lift, and it completely contradicts your response. This isn’t “preventative recommendations” or “minor seepage.” The video clearly shows the lower ball joints actively seeping grease out of the boots, which invites dirt and moisture straight into a critical suspension component. It also clearly shows wet oil ca

Went in for a Virginia state inspection for my Tesla and called ahead to confirm availability. The staff were cordial and professional, and the technician who handled the inspection was especially courteous. The process was efficient and smooth overall. I am very satisfied with their service and would consider returning for tire changes, replacements, and other services.

I've been bringing my car to Ahmed's and his staff for years and they have always done a great job! I get my state inspection and routine maintenance done here, usually by appointment. They are always on time for appointments, they get the work done quickly, and the price is reasonable. I have also gone to Ahmed's a few times without an appointment (when I've had low tire pressure, for example), and he and his staff still helped me out fairly quickly and often times with no charge. I highly recommend Ahmed's Auto Care.
